After discussing it, we've figured that getting a full time job is going to be very hard for anyone who bothers trying, but there's lots of places around Freesia that will pay cash in return for doing odd jobs and simple labor. (e.g. washing dishes or picking up litter in the park.)

Greg won't be able to directly pay with precious metals but he could also pawn them in the commercial district in order to earn money.

None of these are likely to pay well but if Greg's patient he could easily save up enough money for a cheap van, especially since essentials like food are easy to get for free.
